Eco Elephant

Eco Elephant Transparent Fire Extinguisher from Taiwan

Low Maintenance Lighter Design

Our own-brand fire extinguisher, molded in clear materials instead of a steel cylinder. You can read the powder level through the body, it does not rust, and its external cartridge design keeps the powder loose so it needs far less upkeep than a stored-pressure steel unit.

Construction & Features

Eco Elephant, model EC500, is a hand-held ABC dry chemical extinguisher holding 2.27 kg of dry chemical powder, mono ammonium phosphate based, and rated for Class A, B, and C fires.

The body is molded in transparent materials with a 5.4 mm wall and a glass-fiber-reinforced nylon top plate, and it uses an external 30 g CO2 cartridge that pressurizes the unit only when you fire it, rather than holding the powder under constant pressure. It discharges for more than 10 seconds, reaches beyond 3 meters, and operates from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius.

Because the shell is clear, you can read the powder condition at a glance, and the ergonomic handle follows the standard P.A.S.S. sequence, pull, aim, squeeze, sweep. The body is plastic throughout, so there is no metal to corrode and no coating to maintain.

Testing & Approval

Independent Approval
And In-House Testing

Eco Elephant holds Taiwan CFS type approval as fire safety equipment, granted to model EC500 in the name of Aplus Molds & Plastics, covering its rating for Class A, B, and C fires. We have separately demonstrated that rating in our own live fire tests against a Class A-2 wood crib and a Class B-4 oil tray.

Beyond the approval, we test every design element in our own laboratory. Units are frozen at 0 degrees for 12 hours, baked at 100 degrees for 70 days, dropped onto concrete upright, horizontal, and inverted, and held in salt spray for 240 hours, then discharged or impact checked to confirm they still operate. The body is hydrostatically pressurized to eight times its working pressure without fragmenting. This work runs on our own fatigue, hydrostatic, salt spray, leakage, and drop testers.

Maintenance & Lifecycle

Lower Upkeep
Safety & Environmental Impact

The external cartridge is what changes the ownership cost. A stored-pressure steel extinguisher holds its powder under constant CO2 pressure, which packs the powder down over time and calls for scheduled professional servicing to depressurize, loosen, and dry it. Eco Elephant keeps the powder loose until the moment you fire, so you can check its condition yourself through the clear body, and the plastic shell does not rust the way a steel cylinder does.

The clear material also carries a lower footprint, 0.4 to 0.5 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of plastic against about 1.7 tonnes for steel, and the body is fully recyclable at end of life. On safety, the external cartridge design avoids the stored-pressure and internal-cartridge burst risks that apply to conventional steel units.
