TAIMOLD draws a narrower crowd than the general plastics shows, and that’s the point of it. Visitors come looking for tooling rather than parts. What Aplus Molds & Plastics Is Showing at Booth S612

Booth S612 sits in Hall 2 of Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The exhibit covers the tooling chain in sequence: design, machining, measurement, assembly and trial. Booth allocation is current as of July 2026 and worth checking against the official floor plan before you travel.

Machining capacity and control platforms

Our CNC facility runs eight machining centers built around German and Japanese control systems, Heidenhain and Siemens from Germany, FANUC and Mitsubishi from Japan, reaching spindle speeds of 26,000 RPM. Three are 5-axis boring and milling machines.

The largest handles work up to 3,000 by 2,100 by 1,000mm. That figure decides whether a large tool base can be cut in a single setup or has to be split across smaller beds, which is where repositioning error creeps in. For bumper, floor mat and grille tooling it’s the number that matters most, and it’s the sort of thing better demonstrated with a part in hand than described in a brochure.

Measurement before assembly, not after

Machined mold components are checked against the original 3D design before they go anywhere near assembly. We use a Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machine with a 900 by 1,600 by 800mm measuring range, and a GOM ATOS 3D scanning system capturing full-surface geometry down to 1 micron on fine-detail volumes and 5 microns on medium to large parts.

Full-surface scanning against CAD shows deviation across the whole component rather than at the handful of points a touch probe reaches. Buyers who have accepted a tool on a dimensional report and then found a problem three shots into production tend to ask about this first.

Mold fitting and trial

Our mold-fitting press handles assemblies up to 2,200 by 1,800mm, with 2,300mm of stroke and 300 tons of clamping force. Every mold is then trialed on our production injection machines, checked for fill, surface finish, dimensions and visible defects, and adjusted until output is stable across a sample run.

A tool is signed off when it produces good parts, not when the paperwork is complete. Our mold assembly, trial and validation process covers what happens between a set of machined components and a working mold.

Why Should Mold Buyers Attend TAIMOLD 2026?

TAIMOLD is organized by Chan Chao International with support from the Taiwan Mold & Die Industry Association, the Association of CAE Molding Technology and the Additive Manufacturing Association of Taiwan, which makes it the one Taiwanese show dedicated to tooling rather than to plastics processing generally.

Four shows on the same dates

TAIMOLD runs concurrently with Tairos, Automation Taipei, Taipei Logistics and the Taiwan 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Show, all at Nangang on 19 to 22 August 2026. Buyers arriving for one usually walk the others, and the overlap between mold making, automation and additive is where a lot of the interesting conversations happen.

Show hours are reported as 10:00 to 17:00, closing at 16:00 on the final day. Confirm against the organizer’s site closer to the date.

Where TAIMOLD sits in the calendar

Four weeks later, TaipeiPLAS runs 15 to 19 September 2026 at TaiNEX 1, where AMP also exhibits at booth J0302. The two shows serve different buyers. TAIMOLD is for tooling; TaipeiPLAS covers machinery, materials and the wider processing chain.

If your sourcing trip can stretch, covering both with a factory visit in between is efficient use of a single flight. If it can’t, come to TAIMOLD for molds and TaipeiPLAS for production capacity.

Export Tooling: Lead Times and What Ships With the Mold

AMP builds export molds for customers who run injection molding in their own factories. Design, machining, assembly, fitting, trial and dimensional verification all happen in Taiwan before the tool ships, so it arrives ready to run rather than needing further work at your end.

Baseline lead times by mold size

Lead times depend on structure and complexity as much as size. These are baselines for standard mold structures, confirmed at quotation once drawings have been reviewed:

Complex structures need time beyond these figures. The largest mold we have produced weighed roughly 33 tons.

The documentation package

Every export mold ships with steel certifications, a component BOM, cooling circuit drawings and the molding parameters recorded during trial. First-article parts are measured on the Mitutoyo CMM and the GOM ATOS scanner, and you receive a dimensional record against your original CAD model before release.

Standard components come from DME, HASCO, MISUMI, FUTABA and LKM, which keeps spare parts and maintenance supply available wherever the tool ends up running. You can specify preferred component brands and steel grades in your mold specification. Further detail sits on our export tooling page.

Moving a mold from another supplier

Mold transfer programs are supported, including incoming inspection, sample validation and first-article approval against your existing part specification. We assess steel condition, cavity wear, cooling layout and venting before committing to a schedule.

Where transferred tooling needs refurbishment, the repair runs in-house under the same quality system as new mold development. Bring drawings or photographs of the tool to the stand if a transfer is what you’re weighing up.
